Vessi claims this is the world’s first 100% waterproof knit shoe. I beg to differ. The Adidas CS1 Goretex is the actual first 100% waterproof knit shoe. But they’re both awesome shoes.
Thanks Linden for the plug!

is there like plastice inside
the Adidas look horrible with these stupid white blocks on the side
Great info and coverage of both shoes. I found your hand waving and gestures to be really distracting and annoying, though.
RUNNERS NEVER SEE THE END…! !! !!! PLEASE GET A FOOD SCALE… AND WHAT IS THE EXACT WEIGHT OF EACH SHOES…? OZ AND GRAMS… ? ??THANK YOU …MR. DEAN LOWELL CRUMMY crummydean@outlook.com
You should check out the ts1 nmd goretex.
Thanks for the review, I personally prefer the look of the cityscape. I think the CS1s look ugly. Will probably get the cityscape once there’s a good deal on them somewhere.
This was a great review.
The Vessi joints look way better though. The Adidas shoes ugly, plus Vessi’s material is better for an everyday runner or minimalist. But I will say throw some Dr. Schols in them bad boys and you’ll be good to go.
Thanks for the great review! What insoles did you get for the adidas???
You just have to buy a pair of gore tex socks or sealskin socks and render any shoe waterproof ..
Thanks for the in-depth review. I personally prefer the Vessi’s (maybe in every way except the sole), but I wasn’t convinced enough to buy it. Thankfully they’re making a second generation, the Everyday, which I pre-ordered. If you get your hands on a pair of those, a review would be awesome!
I’d also recommend pinning your clear-up comment on the DWR. It isn’t clear until the exact line you reference at 8:26, but it’s all good information.
These Vessi shits look cheap
where can i get an Adidas CS1 Gore tex now?
Does the Vessi fit true to size? Also, how useful are the laces on the Vessi? I’m considering getting the green Vessi’s, which are laceless, but I’m afraid my feet may be insecure without the laces?
If it wasn’t clear enough in the video, DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is not the reason why they are waterproof shoes. DWR is only there to stop the water from saturating into the fabric. Both shoes have waterproof lining that make the shoe waterproof (Flashknit – Vessi / Goretex – CS1).
Someone tried to correct me in the comments but I clearly say it at 8:26. Just wanted to be clear from any misunderstanding!
WEIGHT … OZ…? GRAMS…? OF EACH SHOES…?
excellent review
do you have disclosures? lol
