The main question here is, will Asics finally get their head out of their A** with this shoe. The kayano 22 had a very narrow forefoot, and the 23 was even worse. That shoe was unwearable for me. Hopefully they will fix this. Also, a shoe “running narrow” doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with sizing up as stated in this video. That’s length NOT width, and NOT forefoot/toebox width. Road runner sports has a long running history (pun intended) of saying to size up a 1/2 size on ALL shoes, when this is complete BS, and they are consistently incorrect. I have tried many of the shoes they have said to size up on, and I was swimming in them. MEMO TO ASICS: THE KAYANO IS SUPPOSED TO BE A STABILITY + SHOE FOR RUNNERS LOOKING FOR EXTRA CUSHIONING AND SUPPORT. THOSE RUNNERS TEND TO BE LARGER/HEAVIER AND THEREFORE TEND TO HAVE HIGHER VOLUME FEET. MAKING THE KAYANO WITH THE MOST NARROW TOEBOX IN THE HISTORY OF RUNNING SHOES AND/OR TOEBOXES IS CRAZY. COME BACK TO REALITY WITH THE KAYANO 24, AND DONT F-UP THE GT-2000 WHILE UR AT IT !
Great, informative review.
Hi, how s the cushion on 24? more like 23 or 21? thx
I’ve worn the Kayano since version 19 and the 21 was hands down the best of the lot. The 22 had balance issues and the 23 is hard as a brick.
I’m in a size 12 kayano 22. are you saying go up to 12.5 for the 24?
I own two pairs of Kayano 23’s and have been extremely satisfied with them so I am quite excited to try the 24’s. Have you noticed whether these run the same width as the Kayano 23’s or slightly narrower/wider?
Matt I am looking for a new pair of kicks and loved the 23’s but don’t the 24’s on the site. Am I missing something?
LOVE THIS COLOR!
Would you prefer Asics or Brooks
is this good for people with shin splints?
