Asics Gel Solution Speed 3 Shoe Review

Asics updates their premium lightweight performance shoe with a new high performance upper while retaining much of the same fit and feel that loyal followers of the Solution Speed line appreciate. A full- length PolyUrethane material around the foot offers even more support and flexibility all around the foot. The midsole and outsole structures remain the same, so players that loved the previous version will find similar court feel and performance. One of the most popular shoes on the market just got even lighter, faster and more comfortable than ever before!

Is the AGSP3 more durable than the Ultra Raptors? I’m looking for a shoe with a good blend of speedy feel and durability, and I didn’t find the raptors gave me any of those qualities despite being a good shoe.

James Bracey says:

Hey guys,
I currently wear the Adidas Barricade 2016 Boost, size 11. My shoes are in perfectly good condition however I have always wanted to try a pair of Asics (Either the Gel Res or Solution Speed shoes). I do have extremely flat feet, pretty much no arch at all–would you guys still recommend trying a pair of Solution Speed 3’s? Also, do they fit true to size?

Matías Esquenet says:

Hi, I play almost exclusively on clay courts. I’m looking for a light shoe with the best durability possible for the weight class. After looking into the videos I’m between this one and the Ubersonic 2. Which did you prefer? And another question, the asics regular sole is quite different to the clay court specific ones, while the Ubersonic 2 regular sole is quite similar to clay ones, do the asics regular sole play good on clay too? I know you carry clay soles but there are very few color options. Thanks

Hi TW, could you compare Asics Gel Solution Speed 3 with Babolat CUD Propulse on width and cushion?

Hi Andy,
I know that you slide a lot on hard courts, how does it feel with these shoes? I slide a lot too, i’m looking for a “slide friendly” shoe and I love how Asics fits

Aaron Burdine says:

How would you say these stack up to the Vapor 9.5s in terms of durability, cushioning, fit, and speed?

HollywoodToronto says:

I’m disappointed they made them even more narrow…how can your toes possibly expand when setting up and allow heat to escape?

Andrej Avsenak says:

I tried the gel solution speed 3 on and had a feeling that they ran a little long. I usually wear size 9 us and the fit in these was a little too long. The width was fine though. I wore gel solution speed 2 before and the size 9 was ok. Has anybody else had a similar experience with the shoes?
