Acca Kappa: Muschio Bianco, Black Pepper & Sandalwood + Calycanthus Impressions

Here’s a first impressions video for three Acca Kappa fragrances. This is my Acca Kappa: Muschio Bianco, Black Pepper & Sandalwood + Calycanthus Impressions video. Acca Kappa as a brand was started in 1869 but the first fragrances were launched in the late 1990s. I first experienced the brand in the late 2000s in a hotel I stayed in Vancouver and after that I was very interested in learning about the brand. And today we learn about three fragrances from the brand Muschio Blanco (White Moss), Black Pepper & Sandalwood and Calycanthus.

Black Pepper and Sandalwood is right up my alley. My favorite sandalwood would probably be 10 Corso Como. Z Zegna Milano is also a solid cheapie: its a sandalwood and fig scent that is really nice in the summer. Thanks to Acca Kappa and to you for the awesome giveaway! I’m in the USA.

Just Add Light says:

Couldn’t agree more Sebastian. The bottles are damn sexy. Interestingly enough, I don’t have a favourite white musk because I haven’t smelled very many apart from White Musk from the Body Shop, thanks to your recommendation! And since there are none in my collection, Muschio Blanco stands out as one I would love to try. Appreciate your generosity brother. Canada.

Sly3n says:

That Calycanthus fragrance sounds divine and something I don’t really have much of in my collection. My current go to floral is Jo Loves No 42 Flowersop and that’s about it LOL I am in the USA.

edward gurango says:

I know I would sound stupid but I almost thought it was “Alpha Kappa” like a fraternity! Stupidity aside, Calycanthus sounds interesting although I’m hard pressed to come up with a favorite floral scent! And yes, presentation matters a lot.

Quynh Dac says:

Tks, great review, my fav floral notes is Reflection by Amouage. I’m in Pỏtland, Usa

ramon pena says:

Awesome video always learning a lot from you

Kenneth Cribb says:

Thank you for a great view . One my favorite sandalwood fragrance Santal Wood by Ajmal . I would like to be entered for the Sandalwood and Pepper . Love the notes that are listed sounds amazing.

Southern Sillage says:

I’d definitely like to try the black pepper and sandalwood offering. My current favorite sandalwood scent is Sacred Wood By Kilian. I am in the US. Thanks

Joyce McDaniel says:

Love your videos and reviews. Great job.

odorloader says:

Wow i can’t believe you featured Calycanthus!! In the south we call it “sweet shrub” and its common for people to plant the bush in front of windows so the fragrance fills the entire house in warm weather! Smells like no other bloom. My favorite floral fragrance has been Kerosene “Pretty Machine” for 3 seasons now.

Zach Raves says:

Wow! Black pepper and sandalwood. Love santal 33 and original santal. Also a fan of wonderwood and honour man. Arizona

Nigam Dalal says:

Black Pepper and Sandalwood sounds amazing to me… my currently fav santal fragrance is Le Labo Santal 33

Nerdville17 says:

Always looking forward to your videos – I’ve never heard of this house . The Black Pepper & Sandalwood sounds right up my alley … Beautiful Masculine bottle … LUV the notes on that one! …… My currently favorite Sandalwood fragrances would be Joe Malone Orris & Sandalwood Cologne Intense and Sandalwood and Cypress Cologne Intense The Art Of Shaving … I’m USA New Jersey ….. Thanks again Sebastian …. take care ….. Keep the videos coming …… nerdville17

Alexandra Faucher says:

I would LOVE Calycanthus! Unfortunately I do not know much about the flowers themselves, but I do know that seeds from plants of the family Calycanthaceae contain a molecule called calycanthine, which is a convulsant. There have been some reported cases of animal poisonings related to Calycanthaceae exposure, e.g., (probably not what you were looking for but it’s all I got haha)

I live in Canada, and my current favorite floral fragrance is Rose Trocadéro. Thanks!!

gonsada says:

Muschio Bianco sounds good. My favorite musk is Narciso Rodriguez For Him EDP. Love your reviews!!

T Wong says:

From Boston here, and am most interested in Muschio Blanco. Don’t have any white musk fragrance yet, the closest I have is maybe Dior Homme Cologne. Thanks for the brand introduction and giveaway.

zibbyz says:

Calycanthus has my vote.. The first two sounded nice, but as soon as you sprayed it and said it was gorgeous, that was me. I’m exploring orange blossoms this summer, and I like Seville a l’aube and just tried some houbigant oranger en Fleurs from a sample from surrender to chance, which I’m enjoying. I’m in the US, thank you for your enthusiasm and the draw!

Niraj Patel says:

You are the king in introducing new brands to your viewers. Thank you.
My favorite would be White Moss. I like clean fragrances a lot. I don’t have very many musk fragrances but my current go to musk is Over The Musk by Mugler. Live in USA.

Tom Ombui says:

Sandalwood!!. Not familiar with this house but they sound awesome. My favorite sandalwood fragrance is le labo santal 33…I’m in USA

Jakub Józefowicz says:

My favourite from this trio will be Black Pepper & Sandalwood and my favourite sandalwood scent so far is Agarbathi by Penhaligon’s, but this is very complex scent and the sandalwood is not most dominant note, among more “sandalwoodie” scents I would mention my top 7: Dunhill Pursuit, Pasha de Cartier, Dune by Christian Dior, Costume National Homme, Bois du Portugal by Creed, Faconnable by Faconnable and Envy for Men by Gucci. I have an address in Huston, TX

Primo Songco says:

White moss.

All about sandalwood so the second bottle sounds like the right one for me. I’m not too keen on strong black pepper so I’m happy to hear it’s a little more subdued. I’ve never heard of this brand and the way you discovered it was quite interesting. My favorite sandalwood fragrance has to be Sacred Wood from By Kilian. NY, USA

Aaron Luke says:

Black Pepper and Sandalwood sounds really nice. I am really loving Sandalwood after smelling Leather Man from Dame Perfumery. USA.

Chuck Goodpaster says:

Muschio Blanco sounds the best to me! I don’t believe I have any white musk scents. The juniper and pepper sound good! Allure Sport would be my favorite scent with those notes. As always, thanks for the opportunity! Kentucky, USA.

Amirpasha Ghasempour says:

Hi , my fav is calycantus, and my fav floral is carnal flower! I’m from USA California
Thank you for all these great videos!

Lillian Holloway says:

Hi Sebastian, this type of calycanthus is a shrub with very fragrant blooms called wintersweet. (Not to be confused with the Carolina Allspice native to the US.) It’s a prized plant known for being an early sign of spring and highly fragrant. So of course this is the one yhat would most intetest me. Though that black pepper and sandalwood sounds pretty amazing. I live in the US.

True Survivor says:

USA and my email benjaminmarkmcfaden@gmail com I would love a chance to get black pepper and sandalwood. My current favorite sandalwood is Moonmilk.

Oscar Perez says:

Great vid!!They all sound interesting…Chicago here.

Keith Montgomery says:

I think I would enjoy Black Pepper & Sandalwood the most. My favorite Sandalwood fragrance is Eau de Santal by Floris. Canada

Lara Anderson says:

Muschio Bianco sounds right up my alley as am looking for a good clean musk. DSH Musc al Medina is my current favorite musk and it’s a bit dirtier. Would love to try this brand out. Am in FL.

Rebecca Pena says:

Greetings from Texas, Sebastian. I have Frederic Malle’s Musc Ravageur, and a decant of Roja’s Diaghilev. Now, I’m interested in a “clean” musk. Interested in the Muschio Blanco.

Bernie777 says:

I can always count on being surprised with new fragrances on your channel! Good price point. The Muschio Bianco sounds amazing. I don’t currently own a musk fragrance (not since Jovan!). Thanks Sebastian. USA

Max Testi says:

Curious name Acca Kappa [ = H K]; that’s how you say H K in Italian

ddpanda says:

This sounds like a wonderful fragrance house. I don’t own any scents from Italy. They all sound incredible. I am having a hard time choosing between Muschio Bianco and Black Pepper & Sandalwood. My favorite musk scent is Red Musk by The Body Shop. And my favorite sandalwood fragrance is the new scent by NEST called Cocoa Woods. If I am lucky to win, I think I’d go with Muschio Bianco. I live in the USA.

Bryan says:

A great intro to this superb brand, Sebastian! I’ve been a huge fan of this Italian house since 2014 when I first discovered Muschio Bianco (not Blanco, though) on Fragrantica. I work in a hospitality industry where I am allowed to wear only light colognes, and Acca Kappa White Moss is the perfect choice for that requirement. I got LOTS of compliments wearing it. I always layer it with Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling and get incredibly amazing results. 🙂 I own eight bottles from this brand: Muschio Bianco (both parfum and cologne), Tilia Cordata, 1869 parfum, Calycanthus, Cedro, Ode, and Black Pepper & Sandalwood parfum. My favorite musk fragrances are 1) Siberian Musk and Russian Musk by Areej Le Doré, 2) Over The Musk by Thierry Mugler, and 3) For Him Musc Collection by Narciso Rodriguez.
Tampa, FL.

BlainePratt says:

From USA
Havent heard of them before. Sounds enteresting. Especially the Pepper/Sandalwood! My fav Sandalwood is Jo Malone Orris & Sandalwood or Serge Lutens Santal Majuscule.
