In late 2018, the Reebok Froning made its way as Reebok’s latest cross training shoe review. As the name implies, CrossFit Games legend Rich Froning collaborated with Reebok and helped create this shoe.
Reebok stated in the announcement of this model that Froning has been putting these shoes to the test for over a year now, which makes them one of the longest tested models they’ve ever produced. Froning wore this model to compete in at the 2018 CrossFit Regionals competition, and has stated that he wanted a shoe for both workouts and daily use.

We were skeptical at first of this model, after all, could it out perform the popular Reebok Nano and Speed TR shoes?
After testing these shoes for a few weeks, we can confidently say this shoe provides a unique take on training and daily wear. It’s a slightly heavier shoe with a comfortable and stable outsole, so it resists compression under weight well while being a comfortable option as a daily shoe.
In terms of construction, this model offers a couple unique features such as a mid-foot strap and Dyneema fabric. The midsole and outsole both have adequate material, too, which seems to fair well for this shoe’s prospective durability.
The only real downfalls we found with this shoe is the slightly higher $150.00 price tag. Granted, if you’re a true Froning fan, then that may be well worth the price. Also, this model is slightly more heavy than other cross training shoes on the market.
