Review & On-Feet: Under Armour HOVR Sonic “White / Metallic Gold”

Under Armour Canada sent me a pair of the all-new HOVR Sonic, the sister sneaker to the Under Armour HOVR Phantom. Made for runners looking for cushioning and responsiveness over longer distances, these carry on the success of the HOVR line and feature tremendous comfort for a very reasonable price point!

Watch my review of the HOVR Phantom here:

James Gia says:

Best review I’ve seen on these.

Eugenio Salonga says:

Yo Sean, love this sneaker and great review too! What’s the song in the intro? Pretty dope man

Anon says:

Are you going to do a review on the air max 98 “cone”?

Comeonuseyourbrain says:

Special Tipp. Take an ultra boost insole and put it into the sonic. Much better than the original insole.

Michael Chan says:

I’d rather get these over the Phantoms.

affe gorilla says:

I think I go tts just saw a nice new color!

Jason M Tang says:

Your photography for the HOVR Sonics is sick bro! Also, definitely a solid and clean gym shoe for sure… might be my next pair lol. Good vid man!

Julian Nanez says:

These look great, but I’d be lying if I said the logo didn’t turn me off. I have always felt that the symmetry of the logo was very stiff looking and seemed to industrial. Unlike Nike and Adidas, whom both have smoother logos with implied movement, Under Armour’s just comes off blocky.

I really like these shoes and they seem to be comfortable, but I hope Under Armour can tweak their logo for their running and lifestyle shoes. The blocky, rugid logo looks great on athletic wear but doesn’t fit on some of their other products.

Of course, this is just my opinion and is unfortunately one of the only reasons I’m hesitant to buy a pair. They could easily become an every day pair for me but the logo just bugs me too much, don’t know what to say.

jay j says:

Seriously bro you make one of the most informative and legit reviews on youtube! Love the quality of your videos!!!

Hubert Tan says:

How is the sizing ?

Clyde Cledera says:

Don’t know if it’s just the colorway or Sean’s photography but these look amazing! I like these better than the Phantoms, mostly because these have a more sleek and clean design. The Phantoms look real bulky and are a lowtop training camp boot.

kira. says:

The white and gold colour way is so clean, I might have to get myself a pair.

jz7 says:

Just can’t take Under armor shoe seriously

Ryan Yap says:

Really love your photography. You make every shoe looks so dope. Am I safe to say that the phantom is more of a gym or lifestyle shoe while the sonic is more suited for running?

Suhas Nair says:

Wow such a Dope shoe an important thing we should look at is their price. This shoe has high value for money. As always Dope review Sean ❤️

LeBeautiful says:

ok I fangirled a lil

Ray Liu RL says:

I like the Phantom’s aesthetic better but after trying them in stores, I think the Sonic would def be better for running. Can’t wait to see what they’ll do with Hovr for basketball performance!

Michael Fong says:

Just received mine today! Mine is grey

Gregory King says:

Just picked up the black/red. Also just ran 7 miles in them… they are for real! Great job by UA, never would have even considered them before.

Victor Ortega says:

Got the phantoms camo red/black … best 130 I ever spent

Raider Girl says:

Love your in depth reviews and details. Your pics and on feet shots are the best! Just subbed! I’m not a runner, but wear running shoes for my everyday shoes. Does the HOVR Sonic provide enough cushioning, especially in the heel for all day/casual wear? I know you said you prefer this to the phantom, & I like the way these look as opposed to the phantom,, but if I get foot pain it’s usually in the heel which is the reason for my question. Just looking for a comfy all day casual shoe.

Renaldo Charles says:

Vapormax 2.0 and Vapormax 97 soon?

mobgma says:

Love this shoe. Great price point too. Can’t ignore it. Only thing is the colorways suck.
